 What is BSIS, MOIS, and VRU?

"Moving Off Information System (MOIS)" means a system to detect and inform the driver of the presence of pedestrians and cyclists in the close-proximity forward blind-spot of the vehicle and, if deemed necessary based on manufacturer strategy, warn the driver of a potential collision.

"Blind Spot Information System (BSIS)" means a system to inform the driver of the presence of, or a possible collision with a Vulnerable Road User (VRU) at the near side of the equipped vehicle.

 "Vulnerable Road User (VRU)" means an adult or child cyclist, pedestrian, e-scooter rider, horse rider or motorcyclist.
